I had some 250 mesh prints done is a shop. (actually 100 lines/cm)
The results where nice, but there was already some variation in the
thickness of the letters.
O'cause the resolution you need depends on the font size used.
The panel in case used 4mm helvetica all caps, also not too small, maybe
even abit large.
Also I would consider 250 mesh a bare minimum for most front panels.
