i've always wondered about the cem-3396.....
it's used in the matrix-6 (6r, 1000) and also used in the cheetah ms6.
the sound of the ms6 is described as "cutting through steel", "cutting
through stone", and "cutting through glass".
the sound of the matrix, is... well, i think we've all heard it, and it
would have a hard time cutting itself out of a paper bag. i think it would
be better described as "warm", "soft", "gentle".
so, what i'm trying to figure out, is how can i mod the circuitry around
the filter of the 3396, in my matrix 6r, to get more agressive sounds out
of it?

i've never been able to figure out how the 4 capacitors on pins 16-19
affect the filter, but i suspect that they have something do do with it.
any help or suggestions greatly appreciated.....
