 Hi Steve..I know of the keyboard you mention as I bought a couple last
year.
 They are  reasonable quality (better than eg korg poly 800 :-) ) ..but not
wonderful. I think they were designed to be used with some early pc music
 system and hence only have a single contact per key. What I did was to buy
 two and  carve up one keyboard and use its contacts on the first..so
 obtaining a 2 switch per key assembly..one for cv one for the gate. It gave
 me a cheap and cheerful analogue keyboard to test my various synth bits.
