Hello all, there is a short article at, 
http://www.chickensys.com/kb/004.html   that describes
how to modify the ensoniq EPS16+ so that one can use
it with external zip drives or scsi drives.  the
problem is that the author gives no part number for
the diode he uses. and also the very untechnical way
the article was written doesnt help either. the email
for this site aparently doesnt work anymore. so me
emailing my qustions doesnt work.  the author
recomends the use of a shottkey diode, but uses a part
he has lying around instead of the optimal part for
this modification. would an 1N914 diode be better for
this mod? or maybe a 1N4001? if a shottkey diode is
used what part # should be used?      I wanted to ask
all of you before I solder a less than exact part into
my EPS16+    thanks
