[sdiy] parts in Seattle

There are a couple places.

Radar Electric in downtown Seattle:

Active Electronics:

specifically:

13107 NORTHUP WAY
20TH ST N.E.
BELLEVUE, WA 98005
TEL : (425) 881-8191
FAX : (425) 883-6820

Northup Way ( which turns into 20th Street ) is a good area for computer
shopping too - there are at least ten stores along that stretch of road so
their pricing is pretty competitive... American Music has a branch there as
well as a couple other music stores. One stop shopping :)

There is also Vetco
Vetco Electronics Bellevue - 425-869-7025

They sell some surplus stuff and some new stuff - prices are really high for
old junky industrial crap so I tend to use them as an absolute last resort.
They do get the occasional gem from time to time ( and they usually do not
recognize what they have so the price is cheap! ) so it is worth cruising
through every month or so.

There are supposed to be some good places in Portland but I don't get down
there often enough to check this out.

This *is* unfortunate because Seattle used to have a much better surplus
scene - couple of stores and decent pricing.

Good luck!
