We should note that we do not have any proof that DD has
"stolen" anything besides everyone's good features. We have
ourselves borrowed existing technologies to develop our own
designs.

Those who manufacture products for sale (Blacet, MOTM, etc...) need
not worry that anyone paints them with the same "broad brush" that
is being used to baste Dope-fur. Their integrity is not in question.

When I did the PV-1, I asked permission from Bob Moog who graciously
approved. I did not strictly NEED to do so... as the linear ramp and
sample/hold technique is common knowledge and in the public domain.

BUT I was looking at HIS schematic... so rather than throw away all that
information I asked permission to "quote" his work. Why re-invent the wheel
?

If Dieter did the R&D himself he may owe no more recognition to Oakley
systems than he owes to Bob Moog for the ladder itself... but you have to
wonder. There is a history of purloined products appearing on the Dope-fur
web site. Is this one different.

Most people in the DIY arena just want to be recognised for their
contribution. Those who want to make a pile of money will keep their designs
secret and manufacture them...

Or if they REALLY want to 'make money' they should consider another
occupation, like mowing lawns ???
