I've read about something funny that happened years ago, near a TV
station in Rio de Janeiro. People that lived very near the antenna
discovered that fluorescent lights would bright, even disconnected from
the AC line. Soon, dozens of houses were full of fluorescent lamps,
brighting night and day... This really "sucked" the RF signal, and the
TV station had to deal with the case: how to tell the people to stop
this and use incandescent lights?
I really don't know how this story ended up.
