Southampton University, and others, has been looking at a connection
with the magnetic fields around grid wires and so called 'sticky'
particles. These are attracted by the alternating B-field, which then
hold onto to molecules of Radon gas. This accumulation of radon has been
linked to childhood cancer. More work needs to be done, of course, and I
need to find out more before I am convinced.
The information was aired only a few weeks ago on BBC news. But as with
all mainstream news programmes, they can be little lacking on real
science.
