greetings folks - i've been a lurker on the list
for allmost a year now. i really appreciate and
anticipate my overloaded mail box filled with your
talk. i have learned alot! and as scarey as it sounds,
laughed alot!
i'm just about finished building a unit into a nuclear
data analog 2 digital converter case. it emits j.g.ballard
like vibes into my studio! currently it houses a darkstarchaos
pcb (thanks to john blacet), a psycho lfo pcb(thanks to ken stone),
a cv twister #2(thanks to grant richter for schematic), a toy
voice changer pcb (for instant fake vocoder), a CEM low pass
filter and last but not least a fisher space expander tube reverb/amp.
my question : the unit has a VU meter allready in the case. i have not
been able to really get it to reflect anything of intrest. can anyone
recomend a good schematic/or ideas on how to use this vu meter with
my system? it would be nice to tap the 'volume' of the space expander's
output. but no luck on my part! i hit a dead end! yes it reponds to 15
but not from typical audio signal. i do have a meter and scope yes.
i have a picture of the VU meter in question (and synth, prior
to haveing most unites installed) at:
http://www.notbreathing.com/diy.htm
also on the page i included some photos of some power supplies that
i'm offering to anyone on the list who will pay shipping, or a good trade.
one is a tube power supply from the Nuclear Data case, and the other
is a24v+/- w/ 5v+/-. also some pcbs from the datacase if anyone cares.
ok thanks alot! i apprecaite any responce (private/public)
