Y'know... there is a grade of RTV that has NO acetic acid. It is white
in color. VERY good for electronics. I don't know if it is available at the
hardware store...

This stuff can be frozen to increase shelf life...

Only problems  with RTV is if you are not a BIG user... the tube will
harden before you use 10% of it  :^(
