Well, that's not quite the mistake I made this time. What I did was to build two complete Formant supplies (except the +5V) and ran that from two separate windings, one for the both positive regulators and one for the both negative.
I took a chance that this would work, but If I had been better at circuit theory, I would probably have realized that it would cause problems with the negaive regulators.
