That's for sure, did you know that Rat Shack in Canada no longer carries electronic
parts at all, just consumer junk? They have a big book for you to order out
of, but no real electronic parts in the actual store!

I guess the store that built their business selling electronic parts has come
full circle, to only selling other stuff, and at higher prices than most other
places. Every year they would drop the least popular parts from their stock,
until they sold so little there was no reason to shop there anymore. A slow,
downward, self-generated spiral towards eventual insignificance and oblivion.
But, as they've already made themselves less than useless (particularly with
the average RS employee only qualified to provide reams of misinformation, but
nothing correct or useful), there will be no mourning here. Just fond nostalgic
memories from half a lifetime ago of a 14 year old kid spending hours in a wonderful
store full of nothing but magical electronic parts, trying to decide how to
spend his $1.50 allowance.

Take care,
Doug
