[sdiy] Soldering tips

So as I'm modding my Mono/poly last night, I bump a little
pad of solder, on the underside of a PCB, that has a wire
from a diode in it. A solder trace comes off of it to the right.
Well this thing moves in its socket now, obviously disconnected
from its signal path, and my pitch wheel won't go down in
pitch now. When I push on it with a pencil eraser, the pitch
goes back down, so I know this is the source of the problem.

But I'm having trouble getting the thing to solder back into place
correctly. No matter what I do, it just won't do it. Any tips?
I'm very worried that I'm going to melt something.

Thanks,

Lava
