[sdiy] LM3046's for Prodigy are CA3046 or NTE912 good replacements? FS?

The CA3046 and LM3046 are identical. National Semiconductor no longer makes the LM3046. So if you get one, you are just luck is all. Many of the places (like Jameco and JDR) in the past would send you either part when you ordered the LM3046 (or vice versa).

If the NTE912 is a cross for the CA3046, you can use that as well (I am not familiar with the NTE line, so I can't tell you if it is or not).

The part you need to be careful of is the CA3086. It is the same as the CA3046, except it is not tested to make sure that the transistors meet the matching spec, so you would be taking a gamble with this part.

Sold to the highest offer...or if I have to ebidder..... hmm? Anyone interested in this one? Good timing while its useless to me. It will be more "valuable" in the near future. Serious offers from those that understand how easy these things are to fix (if you have the know how..or a tech...I have neither).
