[sdiy] sdiy, real ring modulator schematics

As I understand it... no. The diodes are biased on by the carrier, and the 
signal is modulated by the varying resistance of the diodes... so
the signal should be small and NOT turn the diodes on.

Yes the signal is AC coupled, but the carrier is not. This is like a
VCA as used in the Koeg MS-50 filter... but it is four quadrant instead of 
two.
