[sdiy] Questions about Pots

You might want to look online for pots. Rat-shack has a very limited
selection of types, and you'll do better pricewise online. I'm ordering
pots online because I wanted smaller diameter pots. The 24mm from da
shack eat up a lot of panel space. I've gotten some very nice 16mm ones
made by Xicon from Mouser Electronics - they're only a bit more expensive
than the larger ones. There are even smaller ones but the prices go up
quickly as they get teenier :) I know that smaller diameter doesn't
address your question, but it's something to consider.
