[sdiy] Questions about Pots

	So, I went to Radio Shack this week because I'm circuit bending an old
Casio Rapmaster (This is my first time!). In any case, I found everything I
was looking for except the right pots.
	The pots I found up there all had these huge poles sticking out of them,
the were like 2 inches long! I want to attach knobs to these poles, but i
surely don't want them to stick out this far. Am I looking for the wrong
thing? Am I supposed to cut these poles down? Is there a better place to buy
pots, preferably shorter ones that I don't have to cut? I'm sorta new, and I
couldn't find anything in the archives conserning this, any ideas? Let me
know, and thanks for the bandwidth.

	Also, I'm almost certain my terminology is incorrect, I doubt these things
that stick out of the pot that you attach knobs to are called "poles". Let
me know on that too.
