Hi all,

well this is kinda OT, but still some diy involved...
anyway, I got this kawai k1 rII rack, 8bit grunger,
but I want to expand it's memories - it has mem card
slot but those cards are rare and $$, so I've traced
what happens there and my guess that card is just one
smd 64k sram with battery (not 100% sure), so I plan
to install couple of 64/256k and select them with switch
for large bank of memories.
second mod is that output mix goes thru 4558 so
I thought to put something better
third idea was to change it's samples (256 of them),
there's 256k prom in there, I guess it holds them
(I'm afraid someone will mention it holds OS also)
so I'd be glad to get hold of original samples and
format that they are written into prom, and put
piggyback eprom to select second bank of samples...

fun stuff, eh?

so, what I need is if anyone here has:

user manual for this thingie (it still confuses me somewhere)
schematics
prom samples/format
exp card schem
some nice pc editor for it
list of original waves/samples
any useful info or mods
(I guess kbd version will do also)

thanks,

marjan
