[sdiy] Headphone distribution amp

Hello all.

This weekend the headphone out of my Behringer mixer stopped working, so I
decided to make the headphone amp my new first priority project. (I used the
mixer in my studio to drive a second headphone while tracking...)

I looked at the PAIA thingy, which seems fairly simple, and thus not good
enough. :-) I'll be using it with linear reference headphones, so it has to
be state of the art. Which opamps are best for this, other issues? It's a
fairly simple thing, a basic mixer, with 2 stereo inputs, and some headphone
amplifier outputs with seperate volume controls...

Another thing I'd like to do is get it powered from a DC wall adapter. The
Paia does this, by just using a resistor divider to get a ground... Is there
a more stable way of doing this? Just doesn't seem high end audio enough for
me... :-)

Thanks!
Roel
