Thanks Tom,

This should work fine.  What would a good FET for Q1 be?  I think I have 
2N3819's here... will those work alright?

Also, I see it's designed for a 32 note keyboard.  2.99V/32keys = .0934 
V/key.  I have a 37 key setup should I use .0934x37 or 3.457v across my 
resistor ladder?  Will Trimmer T1 allow enough range for this?
