If you really want to build a clone, stick to the original parts. I didn't 
have any trouble finding them for my version of Tony Allgoods's TB3030. I 
even managed to find two BA662's which I should't have used, but I couldn't 
resist....

If you want to use an alternative for matched transistor-paires I would go 
for the SSM2210.
