Reminds me of a funny story...

Some of our servicemen were working on a hot job and needed an O-ring
of a particular size. The local hardware store in New Jersey where they
were...
didn't have one. They told the owner "Look... if we have to buy the whole
faucet or whatever to get the O-ring, we'll DO it... price is no object !!!"

The Jersey Wise at ss replied "if price is no Ob-ject why doncha fly back to
Dee-troit and get one...."

Moral... How bad do you want a part vs. how much will you pay ? I find that

Digi-Key is pretty good and UPS Red (one day air) or Fed-Ex will get you
going
fast. Does not matter where they ship from... its...
Do they have it in Stock ?
Will you pay expedited shipping ?

Usually, I will wait for ground shipping. You can also get parts from
Newark, Allied,
RadioShack.com...etc. I use Mouser as a first line supplier because they do
not charge shipping on back ordered items... I think RadioShack has the same
policy but
not sure...

How about substituting a part ? Another tip... buy large quantities. I get
my 3904's
by the 100's. Thats a few year supply. I bought only 50 of the 3906 because
I figured I'd use fewer PNP's... figured WRONG !!!
