My first order arrived from Mouser today.  Oh boy!  I'm all set to start
building!  Right ?  Nope  :(   Several of the items were marked
"backordered" including the 3904's and the 50k pots.  Bummer :(   And
after waiting a solid week for delivery :(

Anyway, I'm wondering how folks deal with long delivery times.  When you
fry a part or realize that you're short on something what do you do?  Is
there someplace in the Northeast US that I can order parts from (even if
somewhat more expensive), where I won't have to wait a week if I need
some part quickly?  I've checked out several of the place I hear
mentioned (Mouser, Allelectronics, Jameco), and they're all in foreign
lands like CA and TX.  Anyone got favorites on the right coast?  :)
