Several years ago, I offered a Deap Freeze "FREE" to any one who whould cart
it away (it was in working order, but almost 40 years old, so it had minor
problems, like the gasket had rotted). The first guy that showed up did nothing
but complain about the way it looked (as if he was trying to get the price even
lower). I kept reminding him, "Hey, it's free!" So, sometimes, even giving
something away for free, the recipient will look a gift horse in the mouth.

The stuff I generally give away for free has no value to me, is still usable
(I hope), and why fill up the land fill.
