mini moog clone

Hi List! Nice to have you back..;-)
If I wanted to clone the mini and I wanted to remain
faithful to the original but also wanted to avoid things 
people dislike. What would be some of the things I 
might want to consider? So far I'm thinking swap the 
vcos, change it to 1v/oct, change the power supply to
+/-12V, bolt it to a 3r panel, strap on a midi interface 
and call it done. I'm trying to do the least amount of 
damage I can to the classic design...;-)
