slighty OT: How long do relays last ?

No, just "normal" ones with 1 concact and a coil. You can hear them click, and from
theri size (approx. 8 by 40 by 40 mm) they aren´t reed relays.

It´s a 24 VDC coil. But the problem occurs even when i apply the power with a hand-held
piece of wire (i suspected bad transistores, too...).
