Another group that really inspired me (and still does)
is Gong. The triology and Hillage's solo albums were
probably what most converted me from traditional 
guitarist to "noise explorer" :-)

For any of you living in the great Northwest, Gong 
will be playing September 12th in Portland at the 
Satyricon.

On a side note, Gong's Tim Blake released an album
"Crystal Machine" many years ago, but I've never been
able to get a copy. Has anyone heard this?
