PC-Board know-how

I need some info's on how to design a board, how you
put the components on the board, how the board "works".
I know little soldering but I am still very excited about starting
to build a little distortion box, or an analog sin osc, or even a 
filter later. I just need info on how you start, a tuturila on the web
which explains *all* the basics of PC-boards basically.
Thanks, the distributers have what I was looking for!
"EPOXYD- Platinen", are they the "PC-board" or is this something
totally different. What is the easiest way to build a stable board
which can be used live on stage?
