tz81 is npn
tz581 is pnp
If you're trying to make an expo pair, use 2n3904 and 2n3906 instead. The
pinout is different, though.
In the final year or so of Arp, the matched pair uses of the tz81 and 581
were changed to 2n5089 and 2n5087, respectively. At that time the only
product that used them was the 2600.
