The 'missing notes'... if the certain keys dont work, this is prolly the 
keyboard itself.... take the key off, lift the little rubber mat, rub the 
board contacts with a pencil eraser, also do the black rubber bit in this 
way [ gently] the rubber bit will often have an imprint of the board 
contacts on it.. if you have rubbed this off then it usu fixes the problem. 
.the rubber mat is a long strip so sometime you have to remove a few keys to 
get to the dodgy one..
I'd also check the buttons as far as the troubs entering parameters, if it 
aint that, then you got a lotta work stuffing in the digital section.

probably. the ext box is a set of knobs & switches multiplexed & encoded by 
an on board microcontroller.. if you can get a hold of the spec for the 
comms from the box to the synth, it could be good for some interesting modes 
tho.. [extra lfos etc?] also note this synth apparently cant run the box & 
the midi in @ the same time..
