There is a programmer for the JX3P on ebay:

Ends tommorow...

PS-personally I like the JX8P.
Long ago I owned the JX3P, and sold it to get the 8P.
My nicer synth IMHO.

Hi List,
I've just been offered a Roland JX3P and also a Korg Delta for cheap 'cos
they both have faults. Before I get off my backside and travel all the way
to look at them, has anyone dealt with the following faults on either of
these synths...? These are the faults that the seller describes. My main
concern is availability of replacement parts for these models.
Roland JX3P: sounds like one of the oscillators is dead, because it 'misses
out some notes'. This synth uses DCO's. In addition, the seller descibed
some problems with entering certain parameters. I think the user interface
is playing up on this one (it's hard to be specific as I haven't seen it).
He said something about filter settings not working properly.
Also, this synth does not come with that pretty essential external
controller box. If I got the synth cheap enough, I thought about trying to
build a suitable control unit myself rather than trying to find an original
one. Daft idea?
The Korg Delta works fine, then starts making funny noises after a while.
The 'filter starts to play up' apparently. When switched on from cold, it
does work fine for a while. He seems to think it's a common fault with this
synth.
Thanks all in advance for any help offered. If it's worthwhile doing so,
I'll go over and look at these tomorrow.
Cheers,
Trev.
