moog tubular capacitors

Later Moog products, Prodigy, Liberation etc. used
typical standard value non-polarised capacitors but
the were described as 'tubular'. They had color coding
similar to resistors and even looked like resistors
and inductors. The next time that I saw them was in a
Sinclair Spectrum computer from the early eighties.
Where do they come from and who can supply them? Any
ideas? Ken.
