Oh, I forgot that you can not simply get tristate buffers from a lib,
you have to look for a discrete package, and there are not many CMOS,
and they have always a couple of bits and only one control signal. Not
very suitable.
But: 4007: this device comprises single MOSFETS on a common substrate.
You can easily build a tristate inverter from that.
Another idea: our friend 3080 (ota) can also be used for multiplexing, I'm
not sure if there is enough bandwidth, but if the input stage is not much
overdriven, it could work. Quite cheap solution. After multiplexing you
will use a schmitt trigger anyway, to beef up the signal, so slower slopes
from the 3080 may not hurt (only delay), if there is not much noise.
