I have found two kinds of people in the world...

Some like music until they are 18-25... then the sample window
closes. Nothing from that point on is as good as "their" music.
Sadly this is the majority... case in point all the "oldies" "classic rock" 
"MOR" "big band" exclusive radio stations...

Others (the blissful few...) find tasty new art throughout the rest
of their life.. and enjoy.

But OTOH even the few are allowed to "not like stuff"...

I remember how offended that my theory teacher found "Pink Floyd"
echoes boring... someone in the class called it Drug Culutre Music...
"Program Music for Euphoria..."

That set her off... "Oh I get it... the drone... the repeated motifs are 
INTENTIONAL... the music is supposed to be like a drug... ok I get it. It 
still bores ME but I see where this is going.... OK"

Of course we all know what David Gilmour had to say on that subject
in "Live at Pompeii"
