Hi Paul and all,

I guess I have been lucky. It sounds like Farnell are going the way of
CPC... who make it quite clear you won't get a catalogue unless you are
an account holder. But at least you know where you stand. But: CPC is
now owned by Premier Farnell... so maybe thats where they got the idea
from.

Unfortunately, as a R&D engineer you specify the part not the supplier.
The buyers do that. They tend to buy from the big guys like Arrow etc.
What you need is to run your own business.. then you can buy from anyone
you want. James Dyson comes to mind here.
