I 100% agree with that. They did 2 songs live on french Canal+ TV
a couple of weeks ago, and abviously they did the same thing (including
the ribbon controller).

It was also the 1st time I ever seen them, and after 2 minutes they
appeared to me as a cheap & pathetic carbon copy of german
krautrock band CAN when I saw them live circa 1972-73.
But the singer isn't Damo Suzuki, the guy behind the modular
isn't Irmin Schmidt, etc.
The very exciting feature of CAN was that ALL their gigs were
100% improvised, and that could lead to the best or to the worst...
Obviously, Radiohead does the same stuff (at least on french & US
TV) and uses the same gimmicks...
Probably it's part of a marketing strategy to show how cool and
openminded they are, and to show them as the band who is
exploring the ultimate frontiers of music experiment...
Indeed, after the set, the 2 brainless young ppl hosting the show
were saying "wow ! They're great ! They're really cool ! Never
seen anything like that !"

Hey, Kids A (or should I say AntZ) ! What do they teach you at school ?
