Yes, it is, and yes, your initial finger position sets the "zero" point from 
which you can bend up or down, but the question is:  if you set your finger 
down just above the middle C key and you slide up to the point that is above 
the next C key, does the pitch go up one octave?  Furthermore, if you set 
your finger down at that middle C, can you then play melodies by simply 
sliding your finger to the point that is just above the note that you wish to 
hear, using your eyes (and ears) as a pitch guide, or must you ignore your 
finger's position relative to the keyboard and rely totally upon your ear to 
find general (not perfect) pitches?  The YC-30 and YC-45 organs allow you to 
use your eyes as well as your ears.  However, it does not have the "initial 
finger position as relative Zero" feature.
