revisiting my sh101

I've been modding my 101 lately... i got an external
modulation input working. And a synhouse midi kit working. :)
Now i want more!
Reading thru the old AH archives, i see mention of an Audio input mod (to
feel ext audio input into the filter). C. Sattinger mentioned that the
audio input is too hot for the circuit at that point (next to r109 i
believe), and needing to be attenuated... Im thinking i can just use a
voltage divider circuit w/ a linear pot as a gain knob? Is this the right
thing to do?
input
---------|
|
z 470 Ohm linear
z <--------------- output
z
|
|
--------------------------- ground
Is it really this simple?
Does anyone know how the NovaMod people did it?
Finally, im still looking for some information on a circuit to create an
lfo signal at a specific tempo... preferably one that can be synced to
midi clock. This i think would allow a sh-101 user to created some nice
modulation efx that are in time with the sequence... does that make sense?
thanks in advance!
