Noisy noise generator

Just out of curiousity, what is noise good for other than synthesizing wind
and wave crashes? The noise on my Moog Rogue is God-aweful that I'm thinking
about disabling that and inserting a looping playback circuit of Tom Jones
singing "It's Not Unusual". Hey, that's not such a bad idea. A Tom Jones
slider on my Rogue. Please, somebody convince me that noise is worth
keeping. What synths/modules have really good noise and what are some noise
techniques to create, I don't know, the best noise? Thank you for
entertaining such a lamo question.
Your pal,
Jon Darby
