I missed this post the first time around, so perhaps this has already
been covered. I'm assuming you're looking at the Chebyshev
polynomials because it appears you can dial in the exact harmonic
content you want. You can, but only if your input is a sine wave of
the correct amplitude. That's ok for a synth module, but probably not
so nifty for say a guitar. If you're not starting with a fixed
amplitude sine, I don't think Chebyshev buys you anything.
