making you own knobs

	hi everyone

i saw some really cool crap at atomictonic.com

it is "casting resin" which hardens to form a clear, durable
solid. the website gave instructions for making clear coasters out of
them, but i thought some more devious things would be even better.

i've been thinking of making my own plastic pieces
(knobs/sliders/etc.) using some sort of molding material, in the same way
as the "lost wax" method..... (perhaps.) possibly creating a two-piece
mold out of clay or something else re-usable, then pouring in
plastic/resin, casting, popping out oft he mold and filing/sanding off the
mold line?

it is a good idea indeed.
