Admin message: unsubscribed users

Thanks for treating me like a newbie, but that's exactly
what I did when returning home and realizing that I
hadn't received any synth-DIY post for several days.

Agreed again, but I'm still wondering what's the use
of those administrative messages listing unsub ppl.
These ppl will never know (since they've already been
kicked out when the message appears on the list), and
I don't think other members really care about...
No personal attack. Just asking...
Besides, I have been on a few other lists (with roughly
a similar traffic as S-DIY) for the last 3 years (at least),
and have never been unsub.
Is it pure coincidence ? Or is it a matter of the software
running the list and its settings ? As I wrote yesterday,
most email servers keep trying to send undeliverable
emails for 72 hrs... Could this be done (for 24 hrs
for instance) with Majordomo ? Instead of unsubbing
members at the first bounce and forcing them to resub
and check the archives to see what they missed ?
I thought computers had been made to take care of
boring & repetitive tasks...
