Hey! You forgot one other way to repair a pot, which is prolly one of the
most obvious, esp if there is merely a scratch in the resistive wiper pad:
an ordinary pencil over the nonconducting area works wonders. ; ) I had one
I fixed like that a few years ago and it still works fine.
