convert TV/monitor to XYZ monitor

I've done this myself many times, it's a great effect if you get it right.
All TV's are different so I'm not sure you will find sch. What I've done is
open up the back of the TV and identify the YOKE. This is a coil fixture
around the end of the tube. You will easily identify the X and Y axis
connections. These are AC connections. I usually use an old audio amp
(should be at least 20 watts), connect the left and right channels to the X
& Y axis inputs to the yoke. Roll off the bass and crank the treble. As far
as the Z axis (beam modulation) is a lot trickery. Hopefully some one on the
list can help with that part.

http://www.AudioVisualizers.com/ has a lot of info, articles and a few

suggestions on schematics but none of it is what I need right now.

any hints, suggestions, books, articles? I'm all ears.
