Diodes in keyboard circuits, etc.

    The diodes are used as a logic element.  You can use diodes to make an
AND/OR gate.  One combination is if all inputs are high, then the output is
high (AND), on the other hand, if any input is low, the output is low
(Negative Logic OR).  Generally, 1n914's are used.
