he he he... Seriously, it could also mean software DIY-synths and
hybrid synths (voltage controlled digital synths)...

Actually, in this DIY digital synth thread, we almost entered DSP-land,
and in many ways are bridging the gap between this list and the
music-DSP list. Several of us are alsready on both lists, so I think
there's no need to create a 3rd one...
