Keyboard Grease

I am in the process of putting the keyboard I am rebuilding back
together. When I was taking it apart, there was some sort of grease
that lubed the tip of the finger that rubbed agains the key (This is the
finger that moves the contacts agains the bus bars, it is shaped like a
Z, except right angles). The grease apears to be some sort of clear
silicon grease. Does anybody know what this really is? And where to
get it?
