And I *bet* this is an old trick - I mean it *must* be. Strange we both
never
heard of it. Someone release us please, point us to an old article of the
60's !

Actually, it is an old trick.  There is a reference in an old EN that
mentioned an article on sine shapers, so I went to the library and looked
it up. The original circuit used a descrete, ovenized, matched pair.  I
tried that and it works, but I also tried a CA3080, which was not in the
original article.

The article was from around 1976, if I remember right.
