Thanks for all the answers I've got on the Space Echo topic,
both on and off list. I'll have a look around and see if I can fix it by
adjusting the heads or some trimmers. It seems that there is less feedback than
there should be. With intensity set to max, the signal dies out in 3-4 seconds.
Also, the delayed signal gets somewhat distorted with time, but I guess this
is to be expected (and is part of the charm) of a device like this.
Anyway, I'll have a closer look at it, maybe I'll manage to dig up the schematics.
I'll let you all know when I know more (it seems as if there are more people out there
that have Space Echos that don't oscillate).
It seems that this is an exception to Murphy's general law of oscillations (amplifiers oscillate,
oscillators don't... :-)
