Of course... in most cases the scope probe should ALWAYS be set to 10X mode...
this greatly reduces scope probe loading. Just consider how much of a load 1
megohm
is in some of these circuits and you see what I mean.
I never use 1X mode unless the signal is so small that I cannot see it at all in
10X....
Now Magnus knows this and this is not for his benefit... he's just on the reply
list :^)
But others (newbies) on the list may not be aware of the problem. YOUR SCOPE can
screw up your circuit... the more advanced the circuit, the greater the danger!!!
10X probes are noit just meant for high voltages... they are for low loading !!!
